From Digital to Print
I have developed a very eager interest in printmaking, especially linocut block prints, over the years. In this piece, I started with creating the original sketch in illustrator. I wanted it to include a human figure, subtly warring with technology taking the form of the motherboard climbing up her arm. I printed it out and by tracing the design with pencil onto a piece of parchment paper, pressed the graphite side onto the lino block. The design was then transferred, and I began the long process of hand carving the linoleum. I think all of the hours poured into this piece were certainly worth it, as it is still one of my favorites.
